Ilias Lalaounis (1920-2013) filigreed ram’s  head bracelet in 18k gold with enameled cloisonné and inset with emeralds in the eyes. Lalaounis was a world renowned and internationally celebrated artist, goldsmith and jewelry designer from Athens, Greece. He founded his firm, Greek Gold, in 1968 and produced some of the finest pieces of artistic jewelry and micro sculptures the world has never known. In 1986 he was the only jeweler ever admitted to the Academie des Beaux Arts and, in 1994, he founded the Lalaounis Jewelry Museum at the Acropolis Rock in Athens which survives and continues his legacy.
